With our Threader in London heading home, it's up to us to pick up the pieces of yarn and see what we can make of them.\n\nThe chance will come when we'll be able to look at the tapestry we've woven together, as a group of five, and as a collection of people inhabiting the same spaces, mentally if not physically.\n\nBut for now, we must pack up our bags and get on with our Saturdays. \n\nToday, it seems like just another day. In [[Portland|cities]], Oregon, the sun is shining. \n\nWe sit at a table covered in bowls, heaped with blueberries.\n\nWe wonder aloud: what do we do [[next|Tumblr]]?
Ovid tells of Heracles, forced to wear women's clothing as penance for an inadvertent murder, holding a basket of wool as Omphale and her maidens do their spinning; Omphale wore the skin of the Nemean lion. \n\nOrion's belt? No--Freyja's spinning wheel.\n\n[[Our garb|tracing]] is no less than impervious golden fur and the light of the ancient stars.
In Greece the Moirai (the "Fates") are the three [[crones|tracing]] who control destiny, and the matter of it is the art of spinning the thread of life on the distaff.
