Hello! I’m Laura E. Hall.

I’m an artist, writer, puzzle-maker, immersive environment and narrative designer living in Portland, Oregon. My work focuses on the intersections between arts, culture, and technology, especially in gaming.

In Portland, Oregon, I design escape the room puzzle games with Meridian Adventure Co. and a wide variety of interactive game and puzzle experiences with Timberview Productions.

I’m the author of Katamari Damacy for Boss Fight Books (2018), and Planning Your Escape for Tiller Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster (2021).

I’m a proud board member of the non-profit Portland Indie Game Squad. And I love creating ephemera-based stories, environmental narratives, interactive puzzle experiences, and mysteries.

Interested in working together? I'm a writer and game designer available for freelance journalism and essay writing, podcast and streaming interviews, panel and event speaking, and live puzzle event/escape the room game design and consultation.
